Best concealers to use for those under-eye circles

Maybe I'm just tired. Or maybe other people are, because they keep bringing under-eye circles up in conversation. Is winter wearing everybody out?

One tough thing about winter is that dull skin and dark circles is often a problem. But concealer is something to keep on the pared-down makeup menu because:
-It's one of the top 5 face "refreshers"
-It does double duty -– it can easily stand in for foundation (although you already know how I feel about that)
-It often offers fringe benefits in the form of skin treatments.

Because you use it in such small doses, it manages to sidestep the makeup meltdown for the most part.

5 concealers to fix under-eye circles:

1. My newest and most favorite find:  Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19), is for girls on the go.  Lasting Perfection Concealer will take you from dawn to dusk and back again, with no need for reapplication.  The ultimate wear concealer promises to conceal flaws, imperfections and blemishes again, for up to 16 hours.  This skin perfecting, oil free product is also transfer proof and water resistant for full and long lasting coverage.  It provides beautiful, blemish-free skin for every waking hour.  Available in four shades Fair, Light, Medium and Deep.

2. Benefit's Erase Paste (£19.50).  I loved this paste from Benefit which has a step by step guide in the box to ensure you apply it correctly and get the best results. Using the spatula can be a bit tricky so you might want to use a clean finger instead but, once you do master the art of getting it out of the packet this thick paste covers up spots perfectly and it also smells great too!

3. Collection 2000's Illuminating Touch Concealer (£4.99) is also in pen form with a brush top so you can apply it in loads of areas on the face.  It gives light coverage so is not necessarily great for bleamishes, but covers in areas whilst also illuminating.  This is great for a cheaper alternative to some bigger brands.

4.  L'Oreal Infallible Concealer (5.49).  Soft and easily blendable, L'Oreal infallible concealer almost erases dark circles and red spots without being too obvious and lasts all day long too. Although not suited to evening out patches of redness it hid all embarrassing pimples big or small.

5. Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller, (£10.20). I keep this little roll-on at my desk -– the metal ball is an instant jolt of cool (warning: sometimes the fumes can be strong for the eyes); it tightens and covers. Makeup artist Lisa Makowski (Lidia's Italy) advises that tighteners often have caffeine which can be drying, so use sparingly and counter with hydrators later.
